Parris Island welcomes newest Marines of India, November Company

Today's graduation ceremony was a landmark for the 203 new Marines of India Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, and 123 new Marines of November Company, 4th  Recruit Training Battalion.

 

Among the new Marines are these distinguished graduates:

 

  • Pfc. Marquis White – Orlando, Fla. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 3024

  • Pfc. Alec Johnson – Nixa, Mo. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 3025

  • Pfc. Nicolas Rivera – Springfield, Mass. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 3026

  • Pfc. Joseph Patrick – Woodbridge, Va. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 3028

  • Pfc. Issac Kingwood – West Berlin, Vt. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 3029

  • Pfc. Gabriel Vandgrift – Louisville, Ky. – High Shooter, Platoon 3028

  • Pfc. Caleb Steele – Fremont, Ohio – High PFT/CFT, Platoon 3026

  • Pfc. Skye Johnson – Denison, Texas – Honor Graduate, Platoon 4012

  • Pfc. Erin Peterson – Borger, Texas – Honor Graduate, Platoon 4013

  • Pfc. Dana Lewandowski – Keller, Texas – High Shooter, Platoon 4013

  • Pfc. Lauren Contreras – Rockville, Conn. – High PFT/CFT, Platoon 4013

     

     

Each new Marine persevered through 70 training days while passing each of the seven graduation requirements.

 

Parris Island has been the site of Marine Corps recruit training since Nov. 1, 1915. Today, approximately 19,000 recruits come to Parris Island annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 12 weeks of rigorous, transformative training. Parris Island is home to entry-level enlisted training for approximately 49 percent of male recruits and 100 percent of female recruits in the Marine Corps.
