April 25 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. - "Celebrating History, Preserving Resources, Sustaining Our Future"
Learn about Parris Island's history while helping the depot recognize Earth Day. In addition to the annual 15-mile "Iron Mike Bike Ride Through History," there will be a nature walk, a 5-kilometer family walk and a 5-kilometer fun run. All events begin at the Charlesfort/Santa Elena National Historic Landmark located at The Legends at Parris Island golf course.

May 16 Centennial 100k Relay Race
100K Team Relay
5K Fun Run

The Format: 6- to 12-person teams, each running approximately 5 miles
Start/Finish Line: "We Make Marines" sign, Main side, MCRD Parris Island
The Route: 31 miles out and back. Teams will complete 2 laps of route for a total of 62 miles. Relay legs vary in distance from 4.2 miles to 5.5 miles. Specific relay distances will be included in your race packet. The 100K will start at 6:30 a.m.
The 5K: A 5K Fun Run/ Walk is also available. The 5K will start at 8 a.m.

June 8 1:30 p.m. "Receiving" four-person scramble golf tournament.
(This is the first of four Centennial Celebration golf tournaments. The winning team of each tournament will receive a golf getaway gift certificate. Points will also be awarded to each player for each tournament, and the highest accumulation of points receives the centennail jacket.)
Registration required. Entry fee is $50 for active duty and retired military, $75 for civilians. Call 843-228-2240 for more info.
July 4 Independence Day celebration in Port Royal
11 9 a.m. "Confidence Course" two-person scramble golf tournament.
(This is the second of four Centennial Celebration golf tournaments. The winning team of each tournament will receive a golf getaway gift certificate. Points will also be awarded to each player for each tournament, and the highest accumulation of points receives the centennail jacket.)

17-26 Beaufort Water Festival Festival schedule
August 22 5-9 p.m. - Centennial 9 pin no tap bowling tournament at Parris Island Bowling Center. $20 per person entry fee. Prizes will be determined by participation. Open to authorized patrons ages 14 years and older. This is a first come, first served event with a limit of 60 bowlers. For more information, call 843-228-1551.

6 7 p.m. - Free showing of Full Metal Jacket Celebrate Parris Island's centennial with a free military-themed movie every Sunday in September at the depot theater.
