Parris Island has been making Marines since 1915. In that time, the depot has become home to many monuments and historical sites commemorating generations of Marines from throughout our long history.
Download the Iron Mike tour map to see some of our most popular destinations on the island. When visiting the island, remember to check-in at the Douglas Visitors' Center for a map of the depot and any additional information.
For an in-depth history of the monuments, statues, and memorials on the depot, visit the Parris Island Museum. Ask for directions at the Douglas Visitors' Center and look for the captured Japanese artillery in front of the museum.
