MCRD Parris Island - Lodging

Parris Island has been the site of Marine Corps recruit training since Nov. 1, 1915. Today, approximately 20,000 recruits come to Parris Island annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 13 weeks of rigorous, transformative training. Parris Island is home to entry-level enlisted training for 50 percent of males and 100 percent for females in the Marine Corps.

The Osprey Inn is a former barracks converted to transient lodging rooms for service members on temporary duty, retirees and guests visiting Parris Island. The inn also operates a transient lodging facility for active and retired officers with some rooms designated for permanent personnel officers.

These rooms are small (approximately 250 square feet) with one queen-size bed and the option to have a rollaway bed for an additional fee. On site, you'll find an ice machine, vending machines, barbecue grill and laundry facilities. Parking is available on a first come, first served basis. This is a nonsmoking facility. Smoking is permitted in designated areas only. Pets are not permitted.

All reservations including space available can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance for TAD personnel on official orders.
