Capt. Romell A. Boyce

Captain Boyce was born in San Bernardino, California and earned a Bachelor of Science from Savannah State University in 2014. Captain Boyce attend Officer Candidate School in the summer of 2013 and commissioned in December 2014.

After graduating from Savannah State University he attend The Basic School from May to November 2015, with Delta Company. In November 2016 he attended the Logistics Officer Course in Camp Johnson, North Carolina and graduated in March 2016

Upon graduation, Second Lieutenant Boyce was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3d Marines, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. He served as Motor Transport Officer from March 2016 to January 2018. During this time, he conducted multiple training exercises to include Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 2-17 and two bilateral training exercises Korean Military Exercise Program (KMEP) 17-13 and 17-14 in South Korea. In January 2018 he served as the Assistant Logistics Officer until June 2019. During this time, First Lieutenant Boyce supported multiple training exercises throughout the pre-deployment training program to include Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2019, Talon exercise (TALONEX) 1-19, the BOUGAINVILLE Series, and the Marine Corps Combat Readiness Exercise (MCCRE). Captain Boyce deployed on Forward Deployed Battalion Hawaii (FDB-H) 19.1 where he conducted training operations in Okinawa, Camp Fuji, Japan, and Camp Mujuk, South Korea.

Following his tour in Hawaii, in August 2019, Captain Boyce was transferred to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island. He served as Assistant Series Commander, Company A. In January 2020, he was transferred to Company C where he continued to serve as a Series Commander. In June 2020, Captain Boyce took command of Company A and served as the Company Commander until March 2021. He then assumed his current position as the Assistant Director of Drill Instructor School in March 2021.

His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.

Captain Boyce is married to the former Danielle Glenn and they have one daughter, Janelle Boyce.
