Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island -- “It was hard in the beginning when I found out my son was born. I got the phone call from my Senior Drill Instructor about my son. Knowing that I wasn’t there… it scared me.” said Pvt. Hunter Willmon, a recent Marine graduate. “It motivated me to know my son was ok, I knew I needed to be a better person and endure throughout training for my family.”
Willmon, a Scottsboro, Ala. native, held his son for the first time on Family Day, May 26. Willmon graduated today from recruit training.
