Parris Island welcomes newest Marines of Fox, Oscar Company

Today's graduation ceremony was a landmark for the 228 new Marines of Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, and 109 new Marines of Oscar Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion.

 

Among the new Marines are these distinguished graduates:

 

  • Pfc. Reggie Brown – Savannah, Ga. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 2032

  • Pfc. Andys Lopez – New York, N.Y. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 2033

  • Pfc. Brandon Russell – Montrose, Pa. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 2034

  • Pfc. Preston St. Pierre – Lutcher, La. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 2036

  • Pfc. Cole St. Peter – Colchester, Vt. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 2037

  • Pfc. Nathan Dvornick – Stafford, Va. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 2038

  • Pvt. Brady Warford – Cass City, Mich. – High Shooter, Platoon 2037

  • Pfc. Tarin Nelson – North Haledon, N.J. – High PFT/CFT, Platoon 2036

  • Pfc. Eva Barnhardt – College Station, Texas – Honor Graduate, High PFT/CFT, Platoon 4014

  • Pfc. Ericka Carrillo – New Orleans, La. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 4015

  • Pvt. Katherine Ulmer – Lowell, Mass. – High Shooter, Platoon 4014

     

     

Each new Marine persevered through 70 training days while passing each of the seven graduation requirements.

 

Parris Island has been the site of Marine Corps recruit training since Nov. 1, 1915. Today, approximately 19,000 recruits come to Parris Island annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 12 weeks of rigorous, transformative training. Parris Island is home to entry-level enlisted training for approximately 49 percent of male recruits and 100 percent of female recruits in the Marine Corps.
