Parris Island Welcomes Newest Marines of Kilo Company

Today's graduation ceremony was a landmark for the 436 new Marines of Kilo Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion.

 

Among the new Marines are these distinguished graduates:

  • Pfc. Jamie Myers – Brown Summit, N.C. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 3040

  • Pfc. Michael LeRoy – Harrison, Mich. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 3041

  • Pfc. Tahlik Banks – Richmond, Va. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 3042

  • Pfc. Jean Alexis Jr. – Lancaster, Pa. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 3044

  • Pfc. Myles Johnson – Huntsville, Ala. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 3045

  • Pfc. Cody Silvestri – Titusville, Fla. – Honor Graduate, Platoon 3046

  • Pfc. Juan Pinzon-Sierra – Canton, Ga. – High PFT/CFT, Platoon 3040

  • Pfc. Aaron Martin – Dry Fork, Va. – High Shooter, Platoon 3040

     

Each new Marine persevered through 70 training days while passing each of the seven graduation requirements.

 

Parris Island has been the site of Marine Corps recruit training since Nov. 1, 1915. Today, approximately 19,000 recruits come to Parris Island annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 12 weeks of rigorous, transformative training. Parris Island is home to entry-level enlisted training for approximately 49 percent of male recruits and 100 percent of female recruits in the Marine Corps.
