MCRD Parris Island is scheduled to perform nighttime aerial sprays on the evening of 10 September 2020.
 
This is part of an effort to control sand flea and mosquitos.
 
Weather permitting, sprays will occur about an hour after sunset on September 10th.
 
The insecticides used are approved by the Environmental Protection Agency. They present no threat to humans, plants or animals in the area.
 
Beekeepers, however, within a five-mile radius are urged to keep hives covered.
