Things to See
Things to See
Parris Island has been making Marines since 1915. In that time, the depot has become home to many monuments and historical sites commemorating generations of Marines from throughout our long history.
Download the
Iron Mike Tour Map
to see some of our most popular destinations on the island. When visiting the Island, remember to check-in at the
Douglas Visitors' Center
for a map of the depot and any additional information.
For an in-depth history of the monuments, statues and memorials on the depot, visit the
Parris Island Museum
. Ask for directions at the visitors' center and look for the captured Japanese artillery in front of the museum.

Recruit Adjustment and Motivation Program
Marines from the Recruit Adjustment and Motivation Program (R.A.M.P.) share their purpose for joining the United States Marine Corps, their struggles throughout Recruit Training, and motivation for other recruits who may be entering the program on Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C. R.A.M.P. is used to remotivate or provide a sense of direction to recruits who appear to be able to overcome the challenges of recruit training, but are experiencing either self-doubt, a lack of motivation, or are falling behind their peers. The Company First Sergeant conducts R.A.M.P. with the support of the senior leaders of the battalion. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl Zachary Foshee)
