Commanding Officer, Support Battalion
Lt. Col. Arnold B. Selvidge
Lieutenant Colonel Selvidge, a native of Birchwood, TN and was commissioned in May 2001 after graduating from the United States Naval Academy with a degree in Electrical Engineering.  After completion of The Basic School in Quantico and the Logistics Officers Course in New River, North Carolina, he reported to 3d Battalion 12th Marine Regiment in Okinawa, Japan in April 2002 to assume duties as the S-4A and MMO. 
 
In May 2004, Lieutenant Colonel Selvidge reported to PISC where he was assigned duties as a series commander for Company C, 1ST Recruit Training Battalion.  In August 2005, he assumed duties as the H&S BN S-4 and was subsequently assigned as the Battalion Operations Officer. 
 
In June 2006, Lieutenant Colonel Selvidge reported to MWSS 272 and was immediately selected to assume command of the Squadron’s H&S Company.  In June 2007, he assumed command of the Squadron’s Motor Transportation Company and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Upon his return in June 2008, he was selected to assume duties as the Executive Officer for Recruiting Station Buffalo, Buffalo, NY.  In June 2010, Lieutenant Colonel Selvidge was selected to attend the Army’s Combined Logistics Captain’s Career Course in Fort Lee, VA. 
 
Directly following in January 2011, he was assigned to Combat Logistics Regiment 3 where he was assumed duties as the Future Operations Officer, and subsequently took on the duties as the Regiment’s Operations Officer before deploying as an Individual Augment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  From September 2011 through Mar 2012, Lieutenant Colonel Selvidge served as a COIN Contracting Specialist on the HQ ISAF, G-4 Staff.  Immediately upon his return to Okinawa, Japan, Lieutenant Colonel Selvidge was selected to assume command of Landing Support Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 37.  In Jan 2013, he assumed duties as the Regiment’s Operation Officer.
 
Lieutenant Colonel Selvidge reported to the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory in June 2013 where he was assigned as the Logistics Section Head for Field Testing Branch within Experiment Division.  In July 2014, he took over as the Operations Officer for Field Testing Branch.  In September 2016, he reported to MCSFR to assume duties as the Regiment’s Logistics Officer. 
 
In June 2017, he was selected for and assigned to fulfill duties as the Executive Officer for 1st Marine Corps District.  He is married to the Former Shannon Michelle Vandevelde and has two sons, Trip and Griffyn.
