The Parris Island Museum will remain open on Memorial Day May 28, 2015, from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The 10,000-square-foot facility is located on Panama Street on Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island. The exhibits focus on the long and honored history and traditions of the Marine Corps. On display are artifacts covering Port Royal's important military role from the American Revolution to the Civil War, along with development of the island into a Marine Corps installation after the Spanish-American War through the present.
