Currently occupied for the U.S. Marines and recruits of Romeo Company, Support Battalion, Recruit Training Regiment, the installation was formally dedicated to the late retired U.S. Marine, Sgt. Maj. Louis Roundtree on April 19, 2023 by Brig. Gen. Walker M. Field, commanding general of Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C. and the Eastern Recruiting Region, and Sgt. Maj. Sael Garcia, sergeant major of Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island and the Eastern Recruiting Region. Following the dedication ceremony, members of the Montford Point Marine Association and guests were able to view various displays dedicated to Sgt. Maj. Roundtree and the Montford Point Marines throughout Roundtree Hall and the Parris Island Museum on the depot. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Jacqueline Kliewer)
