Lieutenant Colonel Kimberly R. Sile

Lieutenant Colonel Kimberly Sile was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in May 2003 after completing Officer Candidates School and graduating from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She graduated from The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia and the Military Police Officer Basic Course at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri in 2004. 

Her service in the operating forces include: Executive Officer and Company Commander, Security Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 5, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward), from 2006-2007 where she deployed to Fallujah, Iraq in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM; Anti-terrorism Force Protection Officer, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) from 2007-2010 where she served on two WESTERN PACIFIC deployments aboard the USS Tarawa and USS Bonhomme-Richard; Law Enforcement Integration Officer and G-3 Assistant Current Operations Officer, 2d Marine Division from 2016-2018; Chief of Staff, Military Advisor Group deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in support of Combined Joint Task Force-Operation INHERENT RESOLVE from June-December 2020.

Her tours outside the operating forces include: Services Officer and Operations Officer, Provost Marshal’s Office, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, CA from 2004-2006; Marine Officer Instructor at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana from 2010-2013; Chief, Force Protection Branch, J-34, United States Strategic Command and Aide-de-Camp to the Commander, United States Strategic Command from 2014-2016; INDOPACOM Plans Officer, Strategy and Plans Division, Plans, Policies and Operations, Headquarters Marine Corps from 2018-2020; and Military Assistant to the Secretary of Defense from 2021-2023.

Lieutenant Colonel Sile is a graduate of Marine Corps Expeditionary Warfare School and Marine Corps Command and Staff College, where she earned a Master of Military Studies. She also has a Master of Science in Advertising from the University of Illinois. Her personal awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.

Lieutenant Colonel Sile is currently assigned as the Commanding Officer, First Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, SC.
